Positive Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers (PAFRAS)

PAFRAS provides specialist casework and mental health support, with a focus on destitution. PAFRAS can support you if you are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, if your asylum support is ending or if your asylum claim has been refused and your solicitor has closed your file. We can also provide mental health assessments and referrals into specialist mental health services.
PAFRAS also has a service especially for young asylum seekers aged 16-24 years old. We can support you if the Home Office does not believe your age, if you are at risk of becoming homeless or if your asylum claim has been refused and your solicitor has closed your file. We can also support with mental health and wellbeing. 
PAFRAS also offers Refugee Family Reunion and support to people experiencing domestic violence and abuse
PAFRAS drop-in (Wednesday, from 9:45 at St Aidan’s Church Hall, Elford Place West (off Roundhay Road), Harehills, Leeds, LS8 5QD ) –  Refreshments provided.  Specialist casework, mental health assessments, GP registration. Food parcels and toiletries for asylum seekers only. We can only see a limited number of people, so please arrive early to make sure you get seen.
