Meeting Point
Meeting Point has been running since 2003 and aims to meet the emotional, practical and social needs of refugees and asylum seekers. We are based at Christ Church in Armley and welcome individuals and families at all stages of the asylum process. No referral is needed, but we do ask clients to register with the project at the drop-in before attending any of the group activities.
- Weekly Drop-in: Mondays 2.15- 5pm @ Christ Church
Our drop-in provides a safe and welcoming environment. We provide refreshments and a hot meal; food parcels, clothing and toiletries; advocacy; social space and conversation and activities.
- Women’s Group: Wednesdays 12.15- 2.15pm @ Christ Church
Women’s Group offers a range of activities including knitting, sewing, cooking, arts and crafts, singing, computer use outings and more. We provide a holistic space to improve women’s well-being, build self-confidence and self-esteem and develop new skills. It is open to all refugee and asylum-seeking woman and children are welcome but we do ask women to register at Meeting Point first. Please email [email protected] for further information.
