Leeds Refugee and Asylum Seeker Reading Groups

Our groups are designed for refugees, asylum seekers and anyone else who would like to join us.

We read stories and poems out loud together and then discuss them. The groups are completely FREE and run by volunteers from Leeds University.

Basic English required but further help given during meetings. New members always welcome!

Current Groups:

  • Compton Road Library, Harehills Lane LS9 7BG Wednesdays 5 – 6:30 pm
  • Little London Community Centre, Oatland Lane, LS7 1SP Saturdays 1 – 3:30 pm (during term time)

Wednesday: Compton Road Library, Harehills Lane LS9 7BG Wednesdays: 17:00 - 18:30
Thursday: Leeds Central Library, Calverley Street LS1 3AB Every 2nd Thursday: 16:00 - 17:30
Saturday: Little London Community Centre, Oatland Lane, LS7 1SP Saturdays: 13:00 – 15:30 during term time
