Bevan Healthcare (aka York Street – GP services for asylum seekers)
68 York Street, Leeds, LS9 8AA
Bevan Healthcare is a Social Enterprise. We are committed to helping people get the health care that they need. We provide responsive NHS General Practice services designed to meet the needs of people who are homeless or in unstable accommodation; those who have come to Leeds as refugees or to seek asylum.
We accept referrals from any source for asylum seekers, refugees, other migrants and homeless clients.
You can register with Bevan if:
- you are an asylum seeker
- you are a refugee who has lived in the UK for less than 3 years
- you are homeless
- you are living in temporary accommodation (somewhere you cannot stay for more than 6 months in total)
- Other specified vulnerable groups
We link and signpost individuals and families into other healthcare services and a variety of voluntary and statutory services.
We are a resource for information and advice for other organisations and individuals working with these client groups.
