We are able to provide one-to-one advocacy in person, by phone, email, video call and text chat. Advocacy helps you to get your voice heard and rights upheld in a number of ways. Our advocacy services are:
- Care Act Advocacy – social workers can make a referral for anyone in Leeds going through the Care Act assessment process
- Community Advocacy – this service can help you with issues like benefits, housing and accessing services
- Health Complaints Advocacy – this can help you to make a complaint about any NHS care you have been given
- Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) – this is for people who lack capacity under the Mental Capacity Act
- Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) – this is advocacy for people who are under section
There is also the Leeds Autism AIM service that can offer advocacy, information and signposting for autistic adults in Leeds.
