BEACON seeks to foster a culture of welcome, hospitality and practical support to meet the diverse needs of people seeking asylum in the Bradford district.

BEACON’s current projects are:

  • Hosting provides short and medium accommodation within the homes of volunteer hosts for people seeking asylum at risk of destitution [email protected] / 07505 053149
  • CHAT is a free weekly English conversation and activities group open to people seeking asylum and other non-English speakers. A welcoming space to practise conversational English and have fun in a friendly environment. Open to all abilities.   • McKenzie Friends volunteers provide support to people seeking asylum following a refusal on a claim, accompanying people to appeal hearings and facilitating access to legal advice & representation for those hoping to submit fresh asylum claims[email protected] / 07531 576330
